Kelly Hilgers, DDS, MS
Meet Dr. Kelly, Pediatric Dentist in Goodyear
Hello and welcome to Hilgers Pediatric Dentistry! We are thrilled to have you and your child as part of our dental family. As a mother myself, I understand how difficult it can be to trust someone with your child’s care, and I want to assure you that we treat every child who walks through our doors as if they were our own.
At Hilgers Pediatric Dentistry, we are committed to providing your child with the highest quality of care in a comfortable, safe, and fun environment. I genuinely love what I do. Making a positive impact on a child’s life is the most rewarding feeling. Every smile, every laugh, every little triumph during a visit is a moment that makes our work so special. My staff and I take great pride in helping children develop healthy dental habits that will last a lifetime.
Our goal is to ensure that your child’s dental visits are as enjoyable and non-intimidating as possible. With advanced technology and a wide range of treatment options, we strive to make each visit a pleasant experience. As a team, my husband Dr. Michael Hilgers—an orthodontist at Hilgers Orthodontics—and I work together to provide comprehensive care, including orthodontic treatment when needed. By addressing dental issues early, we help prevent damage or tooth loss down the road, giving your child the best foundation for a lifetime of healthy smiles.

A Commitment to Education and Professional Excelence
Professional Information/Education
I am deeply passionate about pediatric dentistry, and it has been my privilege to serve the Goodyear community for over 20 years. My journey began with a strong educational foundation, which I continue to build upon through ongoing learning and certification.
After receiving my Bachelor of Science degree, Summa Cum Laude, in Nutritional Sciences from Michigan State University, I went on to earn my Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree, Summa Cum Laude, as Valedictorian from the University of Colorado. I then completed a general practice residency (GPR) at the University of Michigan, followed by a pediatric dental residency at the University of Connecticut. I completed my professional education by earning a Master’s of Science (MS) in Oral Biology from the University of Louisville.
As a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of various professional organizations, I have had the opportunity to continually advance my knowledge and skills, ensuring that my patients receive the best possible care. I have published numerous scientific articles in peer reviewed journals as well as several oral medicine textbook chapters. I regularly participate in continuing education to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in pediatric dentistry, including laser dentistry, pediatric care protocols, and advanced techniques in restorative materials.
Building Trust, One Patient at a Time
Community Involvement/Clubs/Organizations
What truly sets our practice apart is the relationships we build with our patients and their families. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each child and hearing about their adventures, interests, and milestones. These connections help us provide care that goes beyond just teeth—it’s about supporting your child in a way that makes them feel valued, safe, and comfortable. Many of our patients’ parents were actually our patients themselves when they were children, so they know first-hand the type of care that we provide.
Outside of the practice, I am fortunate to live in a vibrant community that I hold close to my heart. In addition to serving my patients, I am deeply committed to giving back to this wonderful community. Whether it’s volunteering for the American Cancer Society, Race for the Cure, Toys for Tots, or local school fundraisers, I find immense joy in supporting local causes. My family and I also donate time and resources to local orphanages, Little League teams, local community events, and various charities both locally and abroad.
Outside the Office: Family First
When I’m not at the office, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful family. My husband, Dr. Michael Hilgers, and I have two beautiful children, and we love spending our free time together—whether it’s cheering on local sports teams, traveling, hiking, running, or enjoying fine arts and theater. I’m also passionate about water sports, and we try to make time for them whenever we visit my family in Michigan. The quality time we spend as a family is the most important thing to me, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have such a supportive family both at home and within our dental practice.
A Personalized Approach to Pediatric Dentistry
In everything we do, we strive to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere where both children and their parents feel comfortable and cared for. Every visit is personalized to meet your child’s specific needs and comfort level, with treatments designed to make the experience as enjoyable as possible. Whether your child is here for a routine checkup or needs additional treatment, our goal is to ensure their dental care journey is both positive and empowering.
We look forward to getting to know your family and helping your child build a strong foundation for a lifetime of healthy smiles. Thank you for trusting us with the care of your child—we can’t wait to see you at your next visit!
